Friday, May 20, 2022, as part of the launch of the "Economic Recovery and Women's Empowerment Project in Haiti" Ku, Wen-jiann the Ambassador of Taiwan (Republic of China) and Jean Victor Géneus the Minister of Foreign Affairs signed a letter of intent relating to this new cooperation project funded by Taiwan to the tune of more than 2.6 million dollars (2,647,639.00)

The Haitian Government was represented by Ministers Jean Victor Géneus (Foreign Affairs), Sofia Loréus (Status of Women) and Ricardin Saint-Jean (Trade and Industry)

The project is based on three (3) main axes, namely : employment, entrepreneurship and the financial inclusion of women.

The signatories of both parties are convinced that this project will not only contribute to promoting the empowerment of women but also to reducing gender inequality and will promote the economic recovery of women in situations of vulnerability.
