Haiti - FLASH : Passage from the dollar to the euro the Embassy of Haiti announces new rates

Following recent measures adopted by the Central Bank of Cuba (BCC), the Embassy of Haiti in Cuba has changed the currency in which it charges its consular services.

In a press release the Embassy of Haiti specifies :

"Due to the new instruction 1/2022 of the Central Bank of Cuba (BCC), which comes into force from June 10, 2022, all consular services must be paid in euros, replacing the US dollar."

Note that the BCC has established that Embassies and Consulates can make cash deposits in foreign currencies, except in US dollars.

For this reason, the new payment rates for consular services of the Embassy of Haiti in Cuba are as follows:

New rates :

Visa application (for the first time and for a tourist package) 150 € now, 175 US dollars before;

Renewal (people with a file at the Embassy) 130 € now, 150 US dollars before.

How to apply for a visa at the Embassy of Haiti in Cuba ?

Last December, the Embassy reported that to request an appointment at its offices, people had to follow these steps:

Requirements :

Send an email to: cita@embhaiti.cu

This should be a single email for each request.

Only one message per e-mail address will be accepted, unless it is proven that it comes from a direct relative.

If the above requirements are not met, messages will not be processed.
