Haiti - Insecurity : The last 5 Turkish hostages released

After the release at the beginning of June https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-36865-haiti-news-zapping.html for health reasons, of 3 Turkish missionary women who were part of a group of 8 Turks, members of an educational and religious association, kidnapped on May 8 in Haiti by members of the "400 Mawozo" gang during a bus hijacking of the Dominican company Metro Tours where there were 12 passengers, 3 Haitians, 8 Turkish missionaries plus a Dominican driver https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-36617-haiti-flash-the-400-mawozo-gang-hijacks-a-metro-tours-bus-with-12-passengers.html ; the kidnappers released on Tuesday June 14 the 5 remaining Turkish missionary hostages.

The circumstances of this release have not been disclosed, but the young Turks, aged 20 to 26, are apparently in good physical condition according to our information, after 37 days of confinement.

Let's recall that the two employees of the transport company Metro Tours, a Haitian hostess and the Dominican driver, had been released less than a week after the hijacking of the bus. The two other Haitian passengers were later released by the Gang, against payment of a ransom.
