Haiti - Politic : World Public Service Day, Intervention of the PM (Video)

Thursday, June 23, the Prime Minister a.i. Ariel Henry, presided the celebration ceremony of World Public Service Day around the global theme "A renovated public service at the service of users".

Let's remember that World Public Service Day was established with the aim of highlighting the work of public servants and the contribution of the public sector to the development of communities. A moment of meeting and sharing, this day also encouraged the choice of a career in the public service.

In his speech for the occasion, Ariel Henry underlined "[...] On this day, we must take the time to assess the quality of the services we offer to our taxpayers who are constantly complaining about the poor reception they are sometimes victims [...] We need to improve the quality of our services, to restore our image, to live up to our mission. Despite a difficult socio-economic context, my Government attaches paramount importance to the working conditions of civil servants [...] With the limited means at our disposal [...] we have been able to significantly raise the salary scale. Adjustments of up to 49% have been granted to different categories of civil servants."
