Haiti - Politic : Tribute ceremony in memory of the late President Jovenel Moïse (Video)

Thursday July 7, in the gardens of the National Pantheon Museum (MUPANAH) emotion was on the agenda to pay a vibrant tribute in memory of the late President Jovenel Moïse, assassinated in his residence on the night of July 6 to 7, 2021 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-34162-haiti-flash-president-jovenel-moise-assassinated-by-mercenaries-official-updated-7am-+-video.html

The Prime Minister, the members of the Ministerial Cabinet, the Ambassadors accredited to Haiti, the constituted bodies of the State, the High Staff of the Armed Forces of Haiti (FAd'H), the High Command of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) were present at this commemoration ceremony.

The Head of Government Ariel Henry, laid a wreath of flowers in memory of President Jovenel Moïse who was followed by the ringing of the dead by a musician from the Fanfare of the National Palace.

Then, the guests watched a screening of the documentary "Ochan ak rekonesans pou Prezidan Jovenel Moïse."

Remember that at the beginning of the ceremony, the singer Cynthia Lamy and her musicians played liturgical songs, a question of solemnity.

In his speech the Prime Minister declared "One year after this assassination, we are still in mourning. The Haitian people are in mourning. And this forces us to immerse ourselves in deep questioning.

[...]

The tragic death of the President must be the last act of a period of ignominy, of intolerance. We must definitely break with this tradition.

May the dream of a reconciled Haitian nation held by the President, a nation where all Haitians enjoy the same rights and have the same opportunities, where electricity is available in the "kay pays" as in the large villas, where water irrigates all the plots, ...become a reality !

[...]

I renew here before the Nation, my determination to encourage, relentlessly, the continuation of the investigation until its completion. Haitian justice can count on the unwavering support of the government."

Commemoration ceremony of the first anniversary of the assassination of President Jovenel Moïse:
