The 3rd gang leader of Savien killed
Sunday 14, "Goliath" (so known) the 3rd leader of Savien's gang spreading terror in the Artibonite Valley was fatally hit in fire exchange with the Police during an attack by Savien's gunmen against a patrol of the Departmental Unit for the Maintenance of Order (UDMO) in Petite-Rivière de l'Artibonite. "TiMakak" driver arrested

239th anniversary of the death of Faustin Soulouque
Born on August 15, 1782 in Petit-Goâve, Faustin Élie Soulouque (August 15, 1782 - August 6, 1867) was proclaimed Emperor of Haiti by Parliament under the name of Faustin 1er on August 25, 1849. His coronation took place on April 18, 1852 .
