Haiti - Technology : The e-governance needs of new legislation 08/09/2011 14:00:11
Recognizing that the modernization of public administration, is a necessary step to allow Haiti to be competitive, the President of the AHTIC believes that such an objective requires much more than computers. Rénol Guerrier considers that the establishment of a regulatory framework of the ICT sector is one of the greatest challenges that the Haitian State will face, recalling that the last law passed in Haiti, dates back to 1977 and no longer meets today's needs. He informs that the AHTIC will organize to this end workshops for parliamentarians including for those of the Commissions relating to the Communication, at the level of both houses to guide their work on telecommunications in the perspective of a legislation on e-governance.
