According an agreement between the Presidents of the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies it is to the Lower House that the Prime Minister-designate, Dr. Garry Conille will first deposit its documents. Persistent rumors suggest that 12 members of the Group of 16 Senators, would support the choice of the Head of State. Other Senators of G16, would evoke constitutional problems or would demand negotiations with Dr. Conille, before giving him a support.

On the other hand, it appears that the Senators in favor of the Head of State, (G12) are divided after that the candidacy of Vice-Rector of the State University, Professor Laleau have been unsuccessful. However, it is necessary to keep in mind that there is a big difference between public statements and negotiations behind the scenes...

The GPR promises to soon demonstrate its unity and its majority...

For Michaelle Jean, special envoy to Haiti for UNESCO, which completed its visit to Haiti today it is necessary to wait until Mr. Conille complete the whole process, talks about his intentions if he is ratified as Prime Minister. We need a government for this country, she said stressing that "the concern on the side of the international community is real and I would not like to see a demobilization, I would not like to see a disengagement.
