Haiti - NOTICE : The Embassies are closing one after the other

French Embassy:

Fabrice Mauriès, Ambassador of France to Haiti announces to French people living in Haiti that due to the deterioration of the situation (demonstrations, violence, roadblocks etc...) in Port-au-Prince and in the provinces. The Embassy of France in Haiti recommends to "limit your trips to what is strictly necessary; to be very careful during these trips and to provide a stock of basic necessities at home."

To the French in Haiti : these events lead us to close the services of the Embassy to the public as of now and until further notice.

In case of emergency, and emergency only, the Embassy can be reached at +509 31 90 41 11, this number is only reserved for French people who find themselves in an emergency situation Haiti. No consular questions can be handled through this number.

Taiwan Embassy :

"Due to the events in Port-au-Prince, the public services of the Embassy of Taiwan (Republic of China) in Haiti are closed immediately until further notice."

Embassy of Spain :

"Due to the events in Port-Au-Prince, we are forced to close the services of the Spanish Embassy to the public. We apologize for this inconvenience."
