UNESCO and OHCHR condemn the murder of 2 Journalists
UNESCO and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in Haiti strongly condemn the murder of journalists Tayson Latigue and Frantzsen Charles, on September 11, 2022 in Cité Soleil, by armed bandits operating in this area, while they were in full exercise of their profession https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-37631-haiti-flash-two-young-journalists-killed-in-cite-soleil.html. Taiwan : Donation of a 50 Kw hybrid solar system
Taiwan Ambassador Wen-Jiann Ku (Republic of China) and Odney Pierre Ricot Minister of Social Affairs presided over the donation ceremony of medical equipment and a 50 Kw hybrid solar system at the Center Hospitalo-Universitaire du North-West of the Occupational Accidents, Sickness and Maternity Insurance Office (OFATMA). This donation is additional funding provided by the Taiwanese government to ensure the imminent opening of the hospital and its energy autonomy.

Humanitarian : Convoy of Hope sends 6 containers of food aid
In response to food insecurity in Haiti, Convoy of Hope shipped six containers of rice and soy flour from Convoy's global distribution center. Working with its partner Mission of Hope, Convoy has already distributed more than one million meals in Haiti.

Training of teachers and 98 inspectors
The Ministry of National Education has launched a training program for teachers and 98 inspectors to integrate the Haitian education system. According to Meniol Jeune, Director General of the Ministry of National Education, this training aims to prepare teachers and inspectors to provide quality education to Haitian students. It has therefore planned to organize continuing education throughout the academic year for the teaching staff.

Women : Establishment of 10 solidarity mutuals
10 solidarity mutuals have been set up in the North-East department by the "Centre d'Animation Paysanne et d'Action Communautaire" (CAPAC), a UNICEF partner within the framework of Global Spotlight, to facilitate access to funding for women victims of violence. Last week 17 women, members of the "Mutuelle de l'Acul des Pains in the commune of Ouanaminthe received funds that can help them better prepare for the start of the school year.
