Haiti - Justice : Haiti selected as evaluating country of corruption in South Korea 13/10/2022 10:12:14 In this context, Mr. Hans Jacques Ludwig Joseph, Director General of the Anti-Corruption Unit (ULCC), National Expert and focal point for Haiti in matters of corruption, is currently in Seoul (South Korean capital) to jointly carry out with the expert from the Samoa Islands (Polynesia) and the UNODC team an on-site visit to meet the South Korean authorities and civil society actors. "I thank the South Korean Deputy Minister of Justice, Mr. Shin Ja Yong, for the warm welcome followed by an important working session which allowed us to see the remarkable progress made by the Republic of Korea on the plan normative and institutional in the fight against corruption,"' underlined Me Hans Jacques Ludwig Joseph on the sidelines of this important meeting. It should be noted that Haiti, as a State Party to the Inter-American Convention Against Corruption (CICC) and the UNCAC, actively participates in the various monitoring mechanisms put in place to assess their application. The Director General of the ULCC coordinates the evaluation processes of these two Conventions, whether Haiti is an evaluating country or an evaluated country. Let's recall that Haiti has already evaluated Brazil and Haiti within the framework of the UNCAC, has been evaluated by Colombia and Indonesia. HL/ HaitiLibre
