The United States Embassy in Port-au-Prince informs that due to insecurity, it is in authorized departure status of its staff https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-37835-haiti-flash-the-department-of-state-authorizes-the-departure-of-its-staff-to-haiti-and-asks-american-citizens-to-leave-haiti.html .

The reduction in staff is impacting our ability to provide routine consular services as follows :

Nonimmigrant visa services are suspended until further notice.

Immigrant visa services are suspended until further notice. We will process adoption cases, if possible.

The Embassy continues to provide services to American citizens in Haiti. If you are a U.S. citizen and would like an appointment for a U.S. passport, notarial services, or consular report of birth abroad, you can schedule an appointment through our online appointment system.
