FIFA recently drew lots in Zurich (Switzerland) for the 3 Groups involving ten selections from the six FIFA confederations: Haiti and Panama (Concacaf) Senegal and Cameroon (Africa), Chile and Paraguay (Conmebol) China Taipei and Thailand (Asia) Papua New Guinea (Oceania), Portugal (UEFA) concerning the qualifying play-off matches for the 9th edition of the FIFA Women's World Cup, which it will organize in Australia and New Zealand between July 20 and August 20 2023.

This play-off phase will take place from February 17 to 23, 2023 in New Zealand in the cities of Hamilton and Auckland, whose two venues, Waikato Stadium and North Harbor Stadium, have been selected to host the matches. The challenge of this tournament is the battle for the last three places for the Women's World Cup which will be played for the first time with 32 teams. They are 29 in number, including the two organizers, the countries which are already guaranteed to participate in the great celebration while awaiting the results of the play-offs for the 3 remaining teams.
Our Grenadières will play a first match against the "Lionesses" of Senegal on Saturday February 18, 2023 at the North Harbor Stadium in Auckland, a kind of semi-final of the group and if successful they will face the "Reds" of Chile in the final, still in Auckland, on Wednesday February 22, for one of the three remaining places for this FIFA Women's World Cup.
