Haiti - Politic : Massacre of the Vaillant alley, 35 years after the Nation remembers (Video)
Tuesday, November 29, 2022, in the Vaillant alley, Prime Minister a.i. Ariel Henry, gathered at the Argentine Bellegarde school, where he laid a wreath of flowers in memory of the voters cowardly murdered on November 29, 1987, ballots in hand, when they had come to fulfill their civic duty.

On Sunday, November 29, 1987, neo-Duvalier paramilitaries, with the active complicity of the Haitian Armed Forces, sabotaged the first post-Duvalier election. Election which should allow the country to democratically choose its leaders. The massacre at the polling station in Vaillant alley (School Argentine Bellegarde) where around twenty voters were murdered is sadly emblematic of this day of terror in Port-au-Prince.

"On this November 29, 2022, the entire Nation still remembers these peaceful citizens killed for change and democracy. We have a special thought for them and their respective families still grieving by this despicable act," declared the Head of Government.
