Haiti - Politic : The Chancellery concerned about the living conditions of Haitian migrants
Concerned by the deterioration of the situation and living conditions of Haitians living or passing through certain countries, particularly in the Americas and in Europe, Jean Victor GÉNÉUS, the Minister of Foreign Affairs held a series of three virtual conferences with the Heads of Diplomatic and Consular Missions of Haiti (December 26, 27 and 29, 2022).

For the Chancellor, it was a question of taking stock of the real situation of compatriots in various regions of the world as well as the main problems they face, of assessing the relevance of the responses provided by the Missions, of evaluating the quality services provided by them and identify the priority needs of the Missions for better supervision and protection of our compatriots abroad.

The restitution of these conferences will be presented, at the beginning of January 2023. It will allow the Government to have elements for the development of new roadmaps more adapted to the needs and realities of each Mission within the framework of the accompaniment and the protection of Haitian nationals abroad.
