Haiti - FLASH : Warning from Jo Biden to Haitian migrants 09/01/2023 09:30:34
United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), an agency of the Department of Homeland Security, has warned asylum seekers from these four countries that the United States will prevent migrants from Haiti and 3 other countries, eligible for the new program, to seek asylum at the US-Mexico border if they are detained while crossing the US-Mexico border. These asylum seekers will be deported to Mexico without regular process under an extension of the controversial Title 42-based immigration policy US President Joe Biden said on Thursday January 5, 2 days before his official visit Sunday January 8 to the city of El Paso (State of Texas), to meet with local authorities (Biden's first trip to the US-Mexico border since becoming President).
