Haiti - Social : 6 police officers killed, rain of reactions 27/01/2023 09:06:09
"Once again, the National Police is in mourning following an attack on the Liancourt police station on January 25, 2023, during which six brave police officers from the UDMO of Artibonite https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-38701-icihaiti-insecurity-6-police-officers-killed-in-clashes-with-the-gran-grif-gang.html were unfortunately killed. This Directorate, while presenting its sympathies to the families of the police officers, to their work colleagues and to the large police family, appeals to the police officers for serenity and takes the opportunity to invite them to close ranks with a view to provide an institutional response to the various criminal organizations that terrorize the Haitian population." Embassy of the United States : "The United States Embassy in Haiti offers its deep sympathies to the families and friends of the brave HNP officers killed in the line of duty and calls for calm to safeguard the population and allow for a peaceful mourning period. We stand with the security forces as they combat armed gangs to restore security to the Haitian people." Canada : "Canada offers its deepest condolences to the families of the PNH members who were recently killed. Canada continues to support the solutions proposed by Haitians to end the violence in the country." US Dept of State INL : "Our deepest condolences to the families of the brave members of the PNH who were killed last night while responding to a call for assistance in Haiti. INL will continue to do all we can to support the HNP and Haitian people in their fight against violent gangs." BINUH: "We extend our condolences to the bereaved families and to the entire PNH.
