The DGM said the people had been arrested in immigration control operations. The operations were carried out in different sectors of the province of Santo Domingo and the National District, such as Cristo Rey, Villa Juana, Villa Francisca, Ensanche la Fe, Los Ríos, Villa Mella, Los Alcarrizos, Pantoja, Santo Domingo East and West. But also in Santiago, La Vega, Jarabacoa, Dajabón, Elías Piña, Jimaní and Pedernales, as well as in the communities of Benerito and Los Pilones, among others... Venancio Alcántara, the Director General of the DGM reiterated that the operations were carried out in compliance with the rules and respect for the integrity of the person and that they will continue to be implemented throughout the national territory.
