Haiti - FLASH : Strong earthquake off Bombardopolis

Today Thursday, February 16, 2023 at 1:50 and 46 seconds in the morning, an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.50 on the Richter scale was recorded in Haiti off Bombardopolis (North West Dept.)
The epicenter was located at 19.619 degrees North latitude and 73.732 degrees West longitude, i.e. at sea 42 km west of Bombardopolis (North West Dept.), 110 km North-West of Gonaïves (Artibonite Dept.), 120 km North West of Miragoâne (Nippes Dept.) 161km southwest of Cap-Haitien (North Dept.) and 190km from Port-au-Prince (West Dept.), at a depth of 16.4 km.
No loss of life or damage has been reported so far by the Civil Protection in relation to this seismic shock which was felt by many inhabitants of the northern communes and in Artibonite.
