Fort-Jacques : Quadruple Assassination

Thursday, February 23 in the afternoon, Nadal Sénat, driver of the National Television of Haiti, his younger brother and two other young boys were murdered by heavily armed individuals identified as members of the "Kraze Baryè" gang not far from of their residence in Fort-Jacques.

UN Donation to Displaced Women

Thanks to a humanitarian donation from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, a distribution of kits consisting of : a blanket, portable solar lamps, mosquito nets and a tent, took place in Port-au-Prince, for displaced women who fled areas of urban gang-related violence.

Donation of 100 digital tablets to the Faculty of Midwives

The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Haiti, in order to allow the continuation of distance learning courses due to insecurity in the country, donated 100 digital tablets to the Faculty of Midwives as part of the "Saj fanm pou fanm" project funded by Canada.

Training of Midwifery, Ministry warning

The Ministry of Public Health reminds and alerts the population that the training of Midwives and medical technologists in Haiti is up to date the prerogative of the State. It is important to note that no recognition has been given to private institutions for the training of professionals in these fields.
