Thursday, March 9 in the morning, the lifeless bodies of three people (2 men and 1 woman), were discovered in the area of Delmas 47. The victims would have been killed the day before in the evening. The identity of the victims and the circumstances of these crimes have not been revealed.

End of Nichols' visit to Haiti
Thursday, March 9, 2023, Frantz Elbé, Acting Director General of the National Police of Haiti, (PNH) met with Diplomat Brian Andrew Nichols, Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs of the United States. The assessment of the security situation in Haiti and the strengthening of the operational capacity of the PNH were on the agenda. At the end of his meetings in Haiti in a press conference Nichols announced no change in the way of seeing things on the part of the United States which, until then, had done nothing to prevent the rise in power armed gangs.
National Archives employee released
Jean Brunel Chermeillle, employee of the National Archives of Haiti, kidnapped on March 1st, was released by his captors for ransom in the afternoon of March 7, 2023.
