Investigating judge Jean Wilner Morin has issued an international arrest warrant against Patrick Noramé, the former Director General of the Office of Monetization of Development Assistance Programs (BMPAD) is accused of money laundering, embezzlement of public funds and corruption following the order of a judge after having received the transfer of the file from the Central Financial Intelligence Unit (UCREF). The judge asks the Central Directorate of the Judicial Police (DCPJ) to seek the assistance of INTERPOL for the execution of this mandate.

UN donation to the National Legal Assistance Council
As part of the collaboration of UN Agencies Haiti through "UN Peacebuilding" to improve the population's access to quality justice, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP - Haiti) and UN Women Haiti gave the National Council for Legal Assistance (CNAL) 18 motorcycles and computer equipment.

Capacity building of audit structures in Haiti
Last week in Pétion-ville was launched the expanded Program for the Strengthening of the Audit and Accounting Market in Haiti (PERMAC) by the Ministry of Economy and Finance, in partnership with the Bank of the Republic of Haiti (BRH) and the Order of Chartered Professional Accountants in Haiti (OCPAH). The three partners took the opportunity to sign a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at building the capacity of audit structures in Haiti, with reference to international standards in this area.
