253rd: Maduro's tribute to Alexandre Petion 253rd anniversary of the birth of Alexandre Petion (April 2, 1770) "Alexandre Petión, liberator of the Haitian people, revolutionary hero and defender of freedom. On the occasion of the 253rd anniversary of the birth of General Alexandre Pétion, the Embassy of Haiti in Venezuela paid tribute by laying a wreath to the man who was the first President of Haiti and close friend of the liberator Simón Bolívar. Montreal : Demonstration of the diaspora in front of Trudeau's office On Sunday, several hundred members of the Haitian diaspora demonstrated in Montreal in front of the office of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, demanding loudly and slogans to do more to secure their families who are hard hit by insecurity in Haiti. The fight for gender equality and equal opportunities still remains a challenge in the least developed countries, such as Haiti. This makes it even more difficult to accept women in certain spheres of activity. To break certain trends, during the first two sessions of practical and ecological training in Haiti, the Institute of La Francophonie for Sustainable Development (IFDD), of the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF), wanted to salute the commitment of these young women in the field. Taiwan Donation to Displaced Persons The Ambassador of Taiwan (Republic of China) in Haiti, KU Wen-jiann handed over a batch of materials, on behalf of the "SimplyHelp" Foundation, to the Collective "Fanm Angaje Pou Ayiti" to improve the living conditions of displaced persons because of various social unrest and violence.
