Swimming : Rain of Medals

The Ministry of Youth and Sports congratulates the Jérômes brothers, Christian (14 years old) and his brother Jude (12 years old), at the Carifta 2023 aquatic championships which took place in Curaçao, Bahamas this past weekend. After 3 days of competition, Christian won 5 medals (4 silver and 1 bronze). His brother Jude won the bronze medal in the 200m freestyle. Haiti is 10th in the medal table out of 21 participating countries.

Grenadières friendly match against Moldova

Sunday April 9, last training session of our Grenadières (56th in the world) as part of their preparation course for the FIFA Women's World Cup, Australia and New Zealand 2023 who will face on one of the grounds of the "Emir Complexe Sportif d'Antalya" in Turkey in a friendly match against Moldova (110th in the world) Monday, April 10 at 5:00 p.m. local time (10:00 a.m. in Haiti). Pope Francis evokes the situation in Haiti

Sunday April 9, 2023 on the balcony of the central loggia of Saint Peter's Basilica in front of some 100,000 faithful, after the "Urbi et Orbi" blessing, Pope Francis spoke about the situation in Haiti, stressing that the country "suffers for several years from a serious socio-political and humanitarian crisis," he mentioned the efforts of political actors and the international community in the search for a definitive solution to the many problems that afflict Haitians, whom he defined as a population "in difficulty".

An Artibonite Intervention Brigade

An Intervention Brigade has been set up by the Departmental Directorate of Police of Artibonite. The police officers belonging to this brigade have undergone specialized training. After handing over their parchment, they said they were determined to track down the armed bandits who create panic and sow terror among the population.

Training : Implementing the Community Health Strategy

On April 3rd, 2023, the Department of Health Promotion and Environmental Protection (DPSPE) of the Ministry of Public Health launched a series of orientation sessions for department managers. This activity pursues the objective of enabling health stakeholders at all levels to fully understand and/or master the main orientations on the implementation of the Community Health Strategy 2020-2030.
