Haiti - Politic : The PM at the Industrial Property Fair (Video)

On Wednesday April 26, 2023, as part of World Intellectual Property Day, Prime Minister a.i. Ariel Henry, participated at the Karibe hotel in the first Industrial Property Fair, an initiative of the Ministry of Trade and Industry around the theme "Make industrial property your business : encourage creativity and innovation."

Speaking in front of an audience compôsed of entrepreneurs, public administration executives and members of the government, Prime Minister a.i. Ariel Henry gave an unequivocal guarantee that his government was committed to strengthening creativity and linnovation. "It is also an opportunity for me to strongly reiterate my commitment to work to ensure a legal and institutional framework for creativity and innovation in the business creation process throughout the national territory. [...]"

Aware that industrial property and entrepreneurs need to be supervised, supported, encouraged and strengthened in their efforts to meet the challenges of innovation and creativity, the Head of Government took the opportunity to urge all institutions involved in the protection and defense of intellectual property rights to take clear action to fight against counterfeiting, piracy, informal and illicit reproductions of works under patent and trademarks.
