Haiti - May 1st : Tribute to our farmers and workers (Video, PM speech)

On May 1st, celebration of Agriculture and Labor Day, the Ministry of Communication paid tribute to our farmers and workers "who contribute every day to the economic and social development of our dear Haiti."

"[...] This May 1st, let's pay tribute to our farmers who work tirelessly to feed the population and stimulate our economy. We also celebrate our valiant workers, who daily, in various sectors, work in the economy to provide essential goods and services to the population.

On the occasion of Agriculture and Labor Day, reflections must broaden to strengthen agricultural production, capacities aimed at empowering farmers and supporting individual or collective projects, promoting the establishment of environment conducive to quality jobs, preventing exclusion from the labor market and protecting people against the risks associated with it, and preparing for the future opportunities and challenges of an economy and a labor market in constant change.

This May 1st, let's reaffirm our commitment to the development of our country and our determination to work together to build a better future for all the citizens of Haiti. » (Ministry of Communication)
