Haiti - FLASH : Violence in Haiti leaves more than 600 dead in April alone

"In the month of April alone, more than 600 people died in a new wave of extreme violence that hit several neighborhoods of the capital controlled by gangs in the Haitian capital," revealed in a press release Volker Türk the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights "This is in addition to the 846 people killed in the first three months of 2023, in addition to 393 people injured and 395 kidnapped during the period, representing a 28% increase in violence compared to the previous quarter."
