The provisional assessment of the torrential rains, recorded in most departments of the country, (June 2nd and 3rd, 2023) has been updated and increased. The authorities are now reporting 51 deaths, 140 injured and 18 missing people and nearly 40,000 families affected, according to reports from the Departmental Emergency Operation Centers (COUD).

Several bridges were submerged including: the Pont de la Grand'Anse, the Pont de Petit-Goâve, the Pont de Mariani, the Pont de la Croix-des-Missions...

In Léogâne, Sainte Croix Hospital was flooded forcing patients to leave, Banque Nationale de Crédit (BNC) was also flooded

Landslides and rockfalls were recorded in particular in Bourdon in the West department, in Cange in the Center department, on the road leading to La Vallée de Jacmel and in Coq Chante, in the South-East department.
