Justice : 4 gas stations closed in Cap Haitien

Several service stations in Cap-Haitien were sealed off last Saturday due to black market practice on fuel prices at the pump. These stations had decided to sell the gallon of gasoline and diesel at an amount higher than the official prices of 570 and 670 gourdes, which are practiced in the other departments. A journalist kidnapped then released

Journalist Marie Lucie Bonhomme of Radio Vision 2000 was kidnapped from her home Tuesday night by around 30 armed men who broke into her residence in Tabarre. She was taken from her residence to the base of the gang leader, Vitelhomme Innocent who questioned her before ordering her immediate release. Her house was vandalized.

OAS : Meeting between the SG of the OAS and Ambassador Léon Charles

Luis Almagro, Secretary General of the OAS received Tuesday morning the Permanent Representative of Haiti to the OAS, Ambassador Léon Charles as a prelude to the holding of the 53rd General Assembly of the OAS in order to support the strengthening of the spirit of dialogue between all the actors of Haitian society.

PNH : intellectual tests

The PNH organized intellectual tests on June 11, 2023 for the recruitment of the 33rd promotion of this body. A total of 6732 applicants including 1374 women took part in the tests. "I want to become a police officer to serve my country. I want to exercise this noble function to fight against injustice, to be present when everything is going badly to help weak people," says a candidate, explaining the reasons which led her to apply to become a police officer. The advisers of the BINUH Police and Corrections Unit brought their expertise to the conduct of the intellectual tests in Port-au-Prince, as part of the technical assistance to the PNH.
