Fight against preventive detention

Me Edler Guillaume, the Government Commissioner at the Court of First Instance of Port-au-Prince, asks the heads of police stations and sub-police stations under the jurisdiction of Port-au-Prince, to inform him of any arrest and order custody against any individual as soon as possible. This request is made to officials in the context of the fight against prolonged preventive detention and scrupulous respect for articles 24, 26 and 27 of the Haitian Constitution, relating to the rights to individual freedom.

3rd International Summit of Francophone Speakers, a Haitian awarded

Nidger Paul, a young Haitian lawyer and philosopher, Haitian student in a master's degree in International and Transnational Law at Laval University (Quebec), won the Public's "Coup de Coeur" Prize at the 3rd International Summit of Francophone Speakers organized by the Francophone Showcase of Toastmasters International, which took place in June 2023, in Canada.
