Total suspected cases: 51,871 cases +416 in 24 hours, previous +21 in 24 hours
Total confirmed cases: 3,184* cases +108 in 7 days, previous +0 in 24h
Total hospitalized cases (suspected and confirmed): 45,442 cases +397 hospitalizations in 24 hours, the day before +16 in 24 hours
Total deaths: 760 deaths ((518 institutional (+9) and 241** community (+0)) +9, previous +0

Partial assessment of cholera in Haiti according to data from the Department of Epidemiology, Laboratories and Research of the Ministry of Public Health and Population (MSPP).

*Very partial data, not regularly updated. On the average of confirmed cases tested and the number of suspected cholera cases, the number of confirmed cases should be close to 18,000.

Definitions:
Suspected cases:
Anyone with acute watery, profuse diarrhea with or without vomiting and dehydration
Confirmed case:
Any suspected case with a positive culture for “Vibrio cholerae” or presenting an epidemiological link with a confirmed case of cholera
Hospitalized case:
Any suspected or confirmed case that spends at least 24 hours in a care centre
Institutional death:Any suspected or confirmed case who dies in a treatment center.
Community death:
Any suspected case that dies outside of a caring institution.
