Storm : Haiti on yellow alert The General Directorate of Civil Protection, the Hydro-Meteorological Unit of Haiti (UHM) in concert with the Permanent Secretariat for Disaster Risk Management, has decided to put Haiti on Yellow Alert due to the passage of Tropical Storm Franklin overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday. 13.5 people killed every day Violence in Haiti : 1,615 dead in 2021, 2,183 in 2022 and already 2,439 from January to July 2023 without counting the carnage of Carrefour Feuilles. Liancourt : 21 people kidnapped in 24 hours Friday, August 18, in Liancourt (Artibonite Dept.) heavily armed men from the "Gran grif" gang kidnapped 21 people on the same day.
