Haiti - Security : Jean Louis Paul Ménard at the head of the PNH in the Artibonite
On Wednesday, divisional commissioner Jean Louis Paul Ménard, former commander of the Order Maintenance Intervention Corps (CIMO) and former departmental director of the West, was officially installed as departmental director of the national police in the Artibonite, he replaces Roger Godson Jeune, who held this position for about 6 months before being transferred to the General Directorate of the National Police of Haiti, the latter is now assigned to the Office of the Acting Director General of the PNH.

Moïse Jean, inspector of the Great North regional office of the General Inspectorate of the PNH (IGPNH) during the ceremony, asked the new departmental director to fully commit himself to justify his function and improve the security situation in a region in prey to the influence of powerful armed gangs, "Gran Grif" of Savien and "Kokorat San Ras" in Estère to name but a few.

For his part, Jean Louis Paul Ménard pledged to continue the initiatives of his predecessor in the Artibonite and called for the collaboration of all the actors concerned to stem criminal activities and neutralize malicious individuals.

Also, the police institution also announces that the Divisional Commissioner John Joseph Zamor is appointed as the new Head of the Firearms Permit Service (SPAF).

These new changes of command aimed at revitalizing the police institution and are also part of the strategic actions of the security plan drawn up by the High Command, indicates the PNH.
