Gangs : 8 Haitians killed every day

The August monthly report published by the Organization of Citizens for a New Haiti (OCNH) identified 245 people killed throughout the national territory, including 9 girls, 5 police officers, an agent of the Armed Forces of Haiti, 20 women, 4 newborns and 14 boys. During the same month, 9 alleged gang members were lynched by the population through the "Bwa kale" movement.

Nearly 17,000 people fled the violence in 3 days

Fleeing the violence of the Grande Ravine gang, the residents of Carrefour-feuilles descend on the Palmes region and the South-East department. The Haitian priest Jean-Germain Latus, parish priest in Spain

Haitian priest Jean-Germain Latus is the new parish priest of Montemayor. It was installed on Sunday September 3 at the parish church. A delegation from the Embassy of Haiti near the Kingdom of Spain was present. Father Latus is from Baptiste, he studied philosophy at the major seminary Notre Dame d'Haiti and theology at the University of Navarra in Spain.
