The Ministry of Justice once again mourns the disappearance of one of its members, in this case Me Quebex Jen, Substitute for the Government Commissioner at the Prosecutor's Office of the Court of First Instance of Mirebalais cowardly murdered at his home in Plaine by armed individuals unidentified on September 27, 2023. The Ministry will take all measures to shed light on this assassination and asks the family of Magistrate Jean, his loved ones as well as the entire Judiciary to receive its sincere condolences. Mirebalais : 4 bandits killed As part of the deployment of the Haitian National Police (PNH) in the commune of Mirebalais, 4 bandits were fatally injured during exchanges of fire with the police. Several Taiwanese T65 assault rifles were seized. Port-de-Paix : 2 kidnappers arrested Chenet Olissé (26 years old) and Fedner Merice, (31 years old) alias "Bèl Bòs" were arrested during a police intervention carried out at Rue Dumarsais Estimé in Port-de-Paix (North-West Department). These individuals are accused of criminal conspiracy and complicity in cases of kidnapping for ransom in Ti Bois d'Homme, an area located in the commune of Gros-Morne.
