Multifunctional shelter constructions

As part of the Risk Management and Resilience Project in the face of Climate Hazards, the General Directorate of Civil Protection has officially launched work on the construction of secure multifunctional shelters in the Nippes department. These multifunctional shelters, which will be built in the municipalities of Miragoâne, Paillant, Anse-à-Veau and Plaisance du Sud, will have the capacity to accommodate up to 1,000 people in the event of a disaster. They will also serve as community centers for social and economic activities.

Launch of the month of Creole language and cultures
