Haiti - Mexico : PM Henry in Palenque, for the Summit on development and migration

Friday October 20, 2023, Prime Minister a.i. Ariel Henry at the head of a Haitian delegation, left the CARICOM / Canada Summit in Ottawa, to go to Palenque in the State of Chiapa (Mexico) at the invitation of the President Mexican, Andréas Manuel López Obrador, to participate, on October 21 and 22, 2023, in a Summit on development and migration.

This summit will bring together the Heads of State and Government of Latin American and Caribbean countries (Belize, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama and Venezuela) directly included in the main routes of migratory flows from northern South America to North America

Prime Minister a.i. Henry will plead for massive investments in the countries of origin of migrants, with a view to offering them a future and hope at home to combat poverty and promote the creation of wealth and opportunities for a better life.
