Haiti - Health : 97.8% success rate for the 4 national nursing schools affiliated with the UEH
The Rectorate of the State University of Haiti (RUEH) congratulates the four national nursing schools affiliated with the UEH for the great success obtained in the State exams organized by the Ministry of Public Health and Population (MSPP) in September 2023. 447 candidates out of 457 passed these official tests, representing a success rate of 97.8%. This percentage is a clear increase compared to that which was known from 2017 to January 2020, i.e. 51.9% before the changes made by the Academic Coordination Office of Nursing Schools (BCAEI) set up at the UEH since November 2019.

In addition to the number of successful candidates, this performance of the National Nursing Schools affiliated to the UEH must be appreciated at different levels.

- Out of a total of 80 nursing schools which took part in these September 2023 exams, these four ENIs are at the top of the ranking for successes and occupy the first four places. The National Nursing School of Les Cayes has kept its rank and remains in first position, the ENI of Port-au-Prince has moved from 63rd to 2nd place, the ENI of Cap-Haitien, formerly 8th, is ranked 3rd, while Jérémie's ENI moved from 10th to 4th position.

- 12 of the 21 winners come from these ENIs with a general average ranging from 95 to 98 out of 100.
The Rectorate would like to clarify for the general public in general, and the university community in particular, that this success is the result of the UEH's decision to set up, in consultation with the MSPP, an Academic Coordination Office to supervise the Schools. Nationals of Port-au-Prince, Les Cayes, Cap-Haitien and Jérémie. This academic supervision constitutes the first step towards the complete integration of ENI at UEH.

After an evaluation period, the BCAEI proceeded from the 1st quarter of 2020 to the implementation of a standardized academic structure within all ENIs with the required operating standards. The diploma in Nursing Sciences was raised to the degree of license/Bachelor degree by the UEH Council in 2022.

The UEH Rectorate thanks the Ministry of Public Health and Population (MSPP) which strongly supported this ENI coordination approach. He congratulates the BCAEI coordinator, Ms. Myrmonde Amazan, for her professionalism, her outstanding leadership and the regular monitoring carried out on the functioning of the ENI directorates affiliated to the UEH. The Rectorate also congratulates all the directors and all the teaching staff of the four ENIs for the noble work accomplished within them. Compliments and continued success to the students.
