The General Headquarters regrets to inform the population of an unfortunate incident that occurred on November 29, 2023 around 10:00 p.m. involving a soldier of the Armed Forces of Haiti (FAd'H) who was part of the team ensuring the security of installations of Boutilliers and during which the man named Nickenson Fortuné lost his life. The investigation carried out in the circumstances is quite advanced. The accused soldier is already placed in Isolation. The FAd’H ask the grieving family to accept their most sincere condolences.

USAID supports the coffee sector
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID-Haiti) through the "Kafe Tyòt se Richès" Project, supports the local company Produits des Iles S.A. (PISA) with farmers in order to improve the quality and increase coffee production to become a crop capable of generating increased export revenues, increasing employment and rural incomes, and building resilient communities. USAID support includes developing high-quality seedlings, increasing fertilizer use, and training to increase production and help make their coffee available to local and international markets.
A 14-year-old Haitian gymnast with a silver medal
The young gymnast Khloë Ann Timmer (14 years old) of Haitian origin born in the United States, won a silver medal at the Central American Youth Games in El Salvador with a score of 12.800 under the direction of her coach Maria Gonzalez and head of delegation Gaelle Allison Timmer.
Military cooperation between Haiti and Argentina
This Thursday, November 30, 2023, on behalf of the Haitian Government and people, the Ambassador of Haiti to Argentina Vilbert Bélizaire decorated Rear Admiral Marcelo Cristian Tarapow, Director General of Education at the Naval School, as Knight of the "Pétion and Bolivar Order" for his dedication and efforts made in the development and implementation of military cooperation between Haiti and Argentina.
Teaching English and Spanish in schools
On November 27, the Ministry of National Education launched the workshop on the implication of the new Curricular Orientation Framework in relation to multilingualism based on the mother tongue and pedagogical approaches aimed at developing students' skills. Thursday, November 30, the workshop began with the work of the think tanks on themes such as teacher training, the teaching of English and Spanish at the level of the 5th fundamental year.
