At the weightlifting competition on Tuesday, Men's 85kg Group A, Haiti was represented by Odeus Belizer 84.25kg. Belizer was ranked last of the seven weightlifters forming the group A. In the snatch, the Haitian weightlifter has lifted 140kg then 145kg missing his third attempt to 148kg, the result for the snatch is 145kg. In the clean and jerk, Belizer missed his two frist attempts to 165kg, but succeeded his third try. Result in the clean and jerk 165kg, for a total of 310kg. The gold medal went to Cuba, with 363kg, the silver to Carlos Hernan Andicia (362 kg) et the bronze to the American Kendrick James Farris (348 kg). In athletics, yesterday Wednesday, to the Men's 200m, the Haitian Roudy Monrose, in the corridor No. 5, finished the race fifth in 21.63 seconds, not enough to be qualified, [Only the first four were qualified for further competition]. The fastest was Alex Leonardo Quiñonez from Ecuador with a time of 20.73 seconds.
