Haiti - Security : The Prime Minister will not provide informations to the Senate today 27/10/2011 16:28:18
The Senator Jean Charles Moïse with five of his colleagues, had indicated earlier this week, that the Prime Minister, Dr. Garry Conille and Me Thierry Mayard Paul, the Minister of Interior, local authorities and national defense were invited to appear before the Senate, to explain the new national security force and certain rumors concerning the existence of training camps in some regions of the country.
Initially scheduled for Wednesday, this meeting was postponed to Thursday, following a irregularities in the procedure. This meeting has just been canceled. The Prime Minister, Garry Conille has indeed requested a postponement for a week, due to the late arrival of the invitation and of his agenda. Thus, the Prime Minister and the Minister of the Interior will not go today to the Senate to answer questions from Senators on the sensitive issue of the new national security force.
The Senator Jean Charles Moïse confirmed this cancellation and indicated that new date will be determined.
