Haiti - Education : 2023 results in 10 figures

The Ministry of National Education has drawn up a 10-figure assessment of the year 2023 to fully understand the main activities and actions in the education sector. A year 2023 marked by the management of major emergencies and progress in the transformation of the education system.

1 - 77% workforce as of January 3, 2023

The 2022-2023 school year, which started late, closed with 73% enrollment as of December 23, 2022.

2 - More than 20,000 students lost 3 months (September, October, November) due to the violence at Carrefour-Feuilles. However, 90% of students returned to school in other locations around mid-December.

8 - The FNE inaugurated 7 schools, in the North-East, the West, Nippes, and Grande-Anse, including 2 technical high schools in experimentation. They are added to the list of around sixty schools built by the partners.

9 - 2 university master's programs launched.
