A PNH bulldozer set on fire

Saturday, December 23rd in Mariani, armed individuals set fire to a bulldozer of the Haitian National Police (PNH) using Molotov cocktails.

Deployment of police officers in Delmas

Following the latest command meetings of the Haitian National Police (PNH) with Frantz Elbé and the heads of police jurisdictions, a security plan was developed, particularly for the 2023 end-of-year festivities. This plan, police officers were deployed throughout the streets of the Municipality of Delmas. They carry out routine checks, while patrols crisscross strategic routes, in order to guarantee the free movement of citizens.

Tourism : Development Plan for 7 years

Ms. Luz Kurta Cassandra FRANÇOIS, the Minister of Tourism and several other important players in the tourism sector, executives, the Ministry of Planning and Culture and representatives of the private sector, participated in a workshop in December to discuss a proposal for a Strategic Plan for the Development and Promotion of Haiti's Tourism Sector for the next 7 years.

Canada : Haitian Embassy closed

"The Embassy of Haiti in Canada informs the Haitian community and the public in general that its premises will be closed on Monday December 25 and Tuesday December 26, 2023. Activities will resume normally on Wednesday December 27, 2023."

Lottery : Distribution of food kits and cash envelopes

Friday December 22nd, 2023, as part of its social mission, the Haitian State Lottery (LEH), in order to support the most deprived people, distributed food kits and envelopes of money to members of the population in the LEH Garden. Luc Ouanche, the General Director of the Lottery took the opportunity to wish a Merry Christmas to all Haitians.

Great cleaning of Carrefour

Sunday December 24th, 2023 Jude Édouard Pierre, the Mayor a.i. of Carrefour launched cleaning work thanks to an initiative from the Prime Minister and the support of the Ministry of Public Works which makes equipment and fuel available to 6 municipalities including that of from Carrefour.
