FLASH : Terrible drama in the Haitian diapsora of France
Monday, December 25 in the evening, 5 lifeless bodies were found in an apartment in Meaux (Seine-et-Marne). It concerns a 35-year-old Haitian mother and her 4 children aged 9 months, 4 years, 7 years and 10 years. The 5 victims were killed by stabbing and suffocation according to a police source. The father (33 years old) on the run was arrested Tuesday morning at his father's home in Sevran (Seine-Saint-Denis). The circumstances of the tragedy are not yet known.

Former Deputy Elie Blaise killed at his home
On Monday, the former deputy of Carrefour, Elie Blaise, was found dead in Mahotière 75. According to the findings of Justice of the Peace Me Jorjas, Michel Blaise was fatally injured by a bullet in the stomach. His home was looted and vandalized, authorities said. A career teacher and school owner, Elie Balise was a deputy for the municipality of Carrefour between 2011 and 2015. He was also Director General of the Office of Vehicle Insurance Against Third Parties (OAVCT).

Armed clashes near the American Embassy
Monday December 25, 2023, heavy fire from automatic weapons was reported around the area of the American embassy and residential complexes adjacent to the Trutier de Tabarre neighborhood. All Embassy staff have been instructed to stay indoors and shelter in place until further notice. All other people should avoid the area, the Embassy warned.

ULCC : Wishes and congratulations to the staff

IGPNH : 2 investigators distinguished
The General Inspectorate of the National Police of Haiti (IGPNH) carried out a distinction ceremony for two investigators: a Principal Inspector and a police officer B3 investigators from different divisions of the IGPNH who distinguished themselves for their rigor and their efficiency in processing the files made available to them. This distinction is part of a quarterly program initiated by the IGPNH and supported by the United Nations Integrated Office in Haiti (BINUH) with the aim of motivating investigators who have demonstrated commitment and professionalism in the exercise of their functions.
