Like every year, the British consulting firm Henley & Partners publishes its ranking for the year 2023 of 199 passports, based on data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

The Henley Passport Index 2023 Visa Restrictions Index is an index that ranks passports according to the number of destination countries without the need to apply for a prior visa.

According to the index, the Haiti Passport ranks last among Caribbean countries and allows access to 53 countries in the world including 19 countries without any visa. Haiti ranks 88th in the world and down 2 places compared to the previous year "tied" with Jordan.

The Passport of our Dominican neighbors ranks 70th in the world, it allows access without prior visa to 72 countries in the world (+1 compared to the previous year) including 34 without any visa.

In the Caribbean region Haiti ranks last. The Haitian passport is the most limited, it allows access WITHOUT any visa in the Caribbean to only 3 countries : Barbados, Dominica and Grenada.

1st Singapore (193 destination)

2nd - Japan (192 destinations)

3rd - Finland / France / Germany, Italy, South Korea, Spain and Sweden) (191 destinations)

TOP 3 of the most powerful passports in the Caribbean :

1st - Barbados - access to 163 countries (20th in the world)

2nd - Bahamas: access to 158 countries (23rd in the world)

2nd - St. Vincent and the Grenadines: 156 countries (25th in the world)
