Haiti - NOTICE : BSAP agents banned from weapons, uniforms and circulating in town
Monday January 29, 2024, in accordance with the decree published on Tuesday January 23, 2024 creating a technical commission for restructuring the National Agency for Protected Areas (ANAP) https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-41510-haiti-news-zapping.html , the Government through the Ministry of the Environment, asks all employees and all people attached to the institution to report to the nearest office of the Ministry of the Environment in order to be registered.

In order to improve the security climate of the country and to bring peace and tranquility for all, as of the publication of this document, no agent of the Protected Areas Security Brigade (BSAP), equipped firearms of any kind, and under no circumstances, are authorized, whether in uniform or not, to circulate in towns.

While awaiting the directives of the Commission responsible for evaluating the ANAP and making recommendations to the government on the reforms to be adopted with a view to improving the effectiveness and legality of the institution's interventions in favor of the protection of the environment, ANAP employees and temporary staff are asked to stay in the protected areas where they are assigned.
