Haiti - Politic : Moïse Jean Charles calls to destroy everything

Monday January 29, 2024, hundreds of demonstrators, activists, supporters and sympathizers took to the concrete in Cap-Haitien at the call of former Senator Moïse Jean Charles.

The highly motivated demonstrators paralyzed the city's economic activities, demanding the resignation of Prime Minister a.i.Henry.

The RN#1 was blocked, schools, businesses and banks were all closed, leading to a general paralysis of the economy.

Moïse Jean Charles, leader of the radical opposition political party "Pitit Dessalin", called on the demonstrators to destroy everything, promising to rebuild the country once he becomes President

The police had to use tear gas grenades to disperse the demonstrators at 15A Street, causing great tension between the demonstrators and the authorities.
