Last step before intervention in Haiti
Sunday February 11, 2024, Emmelie Prophète, the Minister of Justice and Public Security, at the head of a delegation assisted by Frantz Elbé, Director General a.i. of the National Police of Haiti left the country bound for Washington to discuss with representatives from Kenya, the United States and other countries around the last step on the upcoming deployment in Haiti of the Multinational Security Support Mission (MMSS).

A voodoo priest lynched
On the night of Friday February 9, 2024, members of the gang operating in Macéline, a district of Bizoton, entered the residence of a voodoo priest whom they lynched in front of his family members who managed to escape. These individuals accused him of evil acts against residents of the neighborhood. The Priest's daughter, a teenager under 15 years old, tried to help her father with a bladed weapon, injuring one of the attackers, the others killed him.

Strike announced by the Aeronautical Meteorology service canceled
The National Civil Aviation Office (OFNAC) informs the press, airlines and the general public that the strike announced for February 15, 2024 by the Aeronautical Meteorology Service is canceled.

Barbancourt : "Thoughts towards the victims"
"As damaging as the loss of the cane fields [burned by bandits] is, the most terrible thing is for the neighboring families, women and children having fled their homes, without dignity...
