Haiti - UEH : Catastrophic partial assessment of the looting of the FAMV
The Communication Unit of the State University of Haiti (UEH) informs that in the deleterious situation that the country is experiencing, the UEH is unfortunately not spared from the destructive acts of armed bandits.

Among the attacks suffered, the Faculty of Agronomy and Veterinary Medicine (FAMV) was the subject of systematic looting on February 29 which took on catastrophic proportions https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-41783-haiti-flash-the-famv-attacked-vandalized-and-looted.html

According to a partial assessment of the material damage recorded, presented by the officials of this entity of the UEH, armed individuals took away during the looting operation a quantity of equipment important for the functioning of the institution, among others:

118 275 watt solar panels;
12 10 kilowatt inverters including regulators;
122 Desktop computers;
35 laptops;
42 black and white printers;
12 color printers;
130 digital tablets;
87 offices;
100 office chairs
127 visitor chairs;
126 metal filing cabinets;
152 fans;
23 water cooler;
73 UPS Forzan;
32 large format tables;
320 table chairs;
250 student mattresses;
72 student phones;
82 doors to the student dormitory and a large number of desks.

Alongside this equipment clearly identified in this partial assessment, the FAMV also lost academic and administrative documents and numerous laboratory equipment. It should be noted that damage assessment continues. At the appropriate time, a more or less exhaustive assessment can be presented to everyone's attention.
