Haiti - FLASH : The first flight of Americans fleeing the chaos in Haiti landed in Miami
Sunday March 17, 2024, the Airbus A319-112 of Global X, a charter flight from Cap-Haïtien landed at 2:30 p.m. at Miami International Airport with 47 American citizens fleeing the chaos of Haiti. Passengers say they learned about the U.S.-sponsored flight via email and all learned about it through the State Department web page.

Let's recall that the US State Department announced the charter flight on Saturday on the "X" network, providing a link to an application for those wishing to board it. He warned that U.S. citizens should only consider taking the flight if they can reach Cap-Haïtien airport safely https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-41902-haiti-flash-the-state-department-will-evacuate-americans-in-haiti.html

Furthermore, several helicopter flights from Haiti arrived at María Montezavec International Airport with American citizens leaving Haiti on board due to the worsening insecurity in recent days. Once there they boarded a passenger bus presumably heading to Santo Domingo where they would take a flight to the United States.
